You need to make sure that the projects are referencing the version of Microsoft Player Framework that you have installed. IIRC, phonesm-1.2.2 referenced Player Framework 1.3.2. If you want to use it with Player Framework 2.0, then you will need to update the references in SM.Media.MediaPlayer.WP8 and SamplePlayer.WP8 to point to the newer library.

For the System.Net.Http errors, make sure you have installed any Visual Studio updates and that the version of NuGet that Visual Studio is using is up-to-date ("Tools" -> "Extensions and Updates...", then look at the "Updates" tab). If it doesn't want to update the NuGet packages, then try running the build2012.bat or build2013.bat scripts.

Run a debug build with the debugger attached. The debugger's output window should have a more detailed trace of what is going wrong.

It is saying that it can't find anything at "http://192.168.6.103:8001/1:0:1:258:66:212C:EEEE0000:0:0:0:". Try to see if the bipbop or other sample playlist works. You might also try pasting your URL into the phone's web browser to see if you get a 404 or some other error (if you do, make sure you can reach some website local or bing.com or whatever).

Since that is a reserved address, you can probably get at the web logs on 192.168.6.103. Do you see any evidence of the request there?

Does your playlist work if you run on Windows (e.g., HlsView.Win81 or the SamplePlayer console app)?

Fiddler and Wireshark can be helpful when debugging these sorts of things.
